Pride
Why do you think people believe in me? Why do you think they just believe because of written words in a book? They are not just words.
"12For the word of God is living and active,sharper than anytwo-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Why do you look on with some disdain thinking they who believe are weak when in fact those who believe are much stronger than those who do not. Those who believe and follow me give up themselves when you want to give up nothing.
Why do you look on with your limited "closed" knowledge as though you are greater than them? Why do you think they are making fools of themselves by their love for me?
Why do you think you know it all when in fact you are just a speck of dust which is blowing in the wind and in fact you know nothing. Pride will be your downfall.
People believe in me because I am not just words. I live inside them. They are temples of my Holy Spirit. Are you too proud to listen and follow my will for your life? My will that brings unending life and joy? I have spoken to you. Listen to me before it is too late.
Proverbs 16:18
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Turn to the LORD before it's too late. Call out to him while he's still ready to help you.
